Protection & Arc Flash

Personnel safety and network reliability, IEEE certified

Our IEEE 1584 protection and arc flash studies protect your teams and guarantee the selectivity of your electrical network.

Arc flash accident on site due to lack of assessment and PPE adapted to actual risks

Unwanted tripping due to lack of coordination between protections

Our deliverables

Protection coordination

Protection relay settings, selectivity curves, time-current adjustments.

IEEE 1584 arc flash study

Incident energy calculation at each busbar, approach boundary determination.

PPE categories

NFPA 70E classification of personal protective equipment required per area.

Work procedures

Live work procedures, lockout/tagout and work permits.

Arc flash labels

Standardized labels for each panel and switchboard (NFPA 70E/IEC 60900).

Personnel training

Training of electrical teams on arc flash hazards and safety procedures.

Frequently asked questions

Which standard applies: IEEE 1584 or IEC 61482?
IEEE 1584:2018 is the most internationally recognized standard for incident energy calculation. IEC 61482-1-2 provides a different test method. We apply IEEE 1584 by default but can adapt to insurer or lender requirements.
How many busbars can your study cover?
We have conducted studies ranging from a few busbars to over 100 points for large industrial sites. There is no technical limit on installation size.
